The Stork Connection was originally established in the spring of 2006 by Karin Magar, after the birth of her second daughter, Laurel. Karin was a former high school teacher and stay at home mom of two beautiful girls. She wanted to own a business that would give her the flexibility to work from home and still be a mother. While being a business owner is a lot of work, she was happy that she found something that she was passionate about and could do with her girls. Her oldest daughter, Lindsay, loved to help with the “Big Duck” when she was younger. These experiences taught her girls good work ethics at an early age.
Fast forward 7 years to 2013, that is when the current owner, Marci Fleischer, took over The Stork Connection. While Marci doesn’t have daughters, she has two sons, she did come into the business with an extensive child development background. She is a former Pre-School director with a passion for mentoring to young families. Her husband and her youngest son help her with some of the stork deliveries and pick-ups. Marci loves to help young families announce the birth of their newest member(s)!
